Nermin Rafik, is the first Egyptian and Arab woman to join the Committee of the International Federation of Wrestling. This came after Egyptian Wrestling Federation nominated an Egyptian woman named Nermin Rafik for membership in the Women's Committee of the International Federation of Wrestling.
This choice means a lot for Nermin and for Egypt because it was not preceded by the compliments and the Egyptian Wrestling Federation have no influence to impose the Egyptian candidate.
The woman is a board member of the Egyptian Federation of wrestling. She is a beautiful and strong woman with a long career with sports, starting as a player of volleyball in Zamalek club, a professor of sports psychology at Sadat university, and board member of the Cairo volleyball area. She spent four years at Helwan football district and couple of years as academic researcher in the scientific Committee for a military sports and one of the heads of women's wrestling with the African Union, headed by the Moroccan Fouad Maskout.
Nermin has suffered a lot in Egypt, but she proved her success abroad and showed the world that she has strong will and great experience.
