On its 10th anniversary, the Cairo International Women’s Film Festival announced its 2017 program which will take place between 4 and 9 March and include 59 films from more than 23 countries.
According to the festival's organisers, the festival brings the most remarkable films made by women filmmakers, as well as provides an opportunity exchange ideas with film directors, coming from Lebanon, Chile, Argentina, Denmark, Czech Republic, Finland and Switzerland.
The festival was launched in 2008, and was the first of its kind in the Arab region.
It aims to screen films by women from all over the world.
All films are screened with Arabic subtitles, and screenings are free of charge.
