Security authorities in North Sinai reported that seven extremists were killed in different crackdowns across the governorate's cities over the past few days. Three others were injured, and six wanted extremists and five suspects were arrested.

Two militant hotbeds were destroyed with the help of the Air Force, as well as caves and a large number of cannabis plantations.
The security forces seized a vehicle loaded with a large amount of raw opium, and a number of cars and motorcycles used by extremists.
A bus belonging to a private transport company, carrying a large number of tires and spare motorcycle parts, was reportedly seized en route to extremists at Martyr Ahmed Hamdi tunnel.
Police forces responded to an armed attack on a police checkpoint on Assiut street in al-Arish city.
According to witnesses, unidentified assailants fired at the checkpoint and escaped after the police responded to the attack. The incident left no victims.
In related news, Rafah crossing was opened in both directions for humanitarian cases, starting Monday for three consecutive days.
