In just a few weeks Sisi will be flying half way across the world to meet the worlds most controversial leader, President Donald Trump. This guy has been the headline of all western tabloids for all the outrageous decrees, interviews, and troublemaking caused by the newly elected U.S. president. Trump has managed to upset literally the Mexicans, Canadians, Arabs, and most recently refused to shake hands with the ambassador to Russia during talks regarding all of the money owed to the U.S.
In some weird turning of events, Egypt managed to not make the list of banned countries from entering the U.S. I would not be surprised at all if Sisi was seriously interrogated at airport security even though Trump himself invited him over for discussions.
My question is, what do you think will be the subject of the conversation? I believe that there are many subjects should be on the table if we want to be realistic and not just going for fun.
President Sisi has to recognize that President Trump has many problems within his own Government and until now his administration has been trying to determine their attitudes and their plans they want to adopt in the coming few years.
At the same time President Sisi should be more clear in what he wants to discuss especially since he has been President now for almost three years and should have a clear idea of what Egypt needs at this critical time. Egypt face many difficulties and many problems from the economic side and from the military side such as the war against terrorism.
We need to also understand that Trump is a different kind of President and is not, by any means an easy President to deal with. President Sisi at the right moment should focus in 4 main important topcis to discuss which is what I will point out in the next article.
