Everybody in Egypt is talking about the visit of Egyptian president to America and what will he discuss with the American president. Yet, I believe that Donald Trump will take a different path as he prefers.
According to the statements of Stephen Beecroft, the American ambassador in Egypt, and how he sees the relations with Egypt I can tell that the Americans are working hard to strengthen the relations with the Egyptian regime that they appreciate and support.
However, the Egyptian economy is suffering and making all Egyptians suffer. Thus, the question is: how will America deal with this crisis?
Beecroft said that Trump is a successful businessman who understands the importance of successful economy and they are going to discuss that indeed.
This means that they see our economy as successful economy with many steps taken to develop it. This promising economy deserves cooperation and support. Perhaps they see it as a promising and growing economy that deserves cooperation with. This may lead us to discuss the future of American aid to Egypt. Shall we use this visit to benefit from this relation and change how they see us?
