Thousands of Coptic Christians are currently visiting Jerusalem for pilgrimage.
The numbers of pilgrims increased from 4428 last year to 7450 this year to visit the Christina sacred places mentioned in the holy bible.
The former Pope Shenouda III had banned traveling to Israel to show solidarity with the Palestinians, but the current Pope Tawadros II has visited Jerusalem to attend the funeral of Bishop Abraham in 2015.
