In the framework of the "Active Citizens" initiative, organized by the British Council in Aswan, Egypt, 7 countries participated when four blind Egyptian girls talked about their experience within the initiative« a challenging step ».
Doaa Sabei, one of the girls who suffer from visual disability, said she used technology to overcome her challenges. She added that could edit videos though she is blind.
Marwa, another girl, added she could pass the exams of ICDL for the first time for a blind student. She explained that visual disability does not prevent the mind from learning.
She added that her team is currently working on a mobile application for blind people all over the world.
Maha, another member of the team, said that they are very active on social media and people wonder how they could do this. The answer is "will is much stronger than simple light for minds and hearts."
