Abba Antonios Marcos, Coptic Bishop of the African Affairs, and Ahmed Bakr, ambassador of Egypt to Gabon, laid the foundation stone of the first Coptic Church in central Africa.
In his speech Ambassador Bakr said that building a church reflects equal citizenship and countering terrorism.
For his part, Bishop Antonios Marcos focused in his speech on the role of the Church in supporting social and economic activities to help the Gabonese people.
