After the train accident that happened in Alexandria yesterday, there is no doubt that Egypt has to review its plan to prevent the shedding of blood on our roads. Recent statistics show that Egypt has the most road accidents in the world.
Egyptians have been dying every day on the road. Even more so than Sinai, that has terrorist attacks. This is proof of the severity of the situation Egypt faces now.
These accidents are not just happening on trains, or main roads, but even between the small streets, which shows how careless the people are about their lives and the lives of others.
Now, I understand that accidents happen everywhere, but it shouldn’t be to this extent, and shouldn’t be with this many casualties. Egyptians need to learn the importance of valuing life, and the country as a whole needs to prevent these accidents from happening.
In conclusion, I want to express my condolences to the families and friends of the victims, and I hope that such accidents never happen again.
