As the crisis of the Renaissance Dam escalates between Egypt and Ethiopia, Egyptian government is studying a project to build the largest dam in Shalatin, southern Egypt, to store 7 million cubic meters of flood water.
The dam aims to develop the area of Shalatin and to save it from the danger of floods. Its height is 12 meters, and is considered one of the largest dams that are established in the Eastern Desert in terms of height and storage capacity.
