The aid, which includes housing tents and food supplies, is donated by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development and the Ministry of Defence to the Bengali Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief and the Red Crescent.
The shipment brings the total aid donated by Egypt for Rohingya refugees to 120 tonnes, including aid previously donated by Egypt s Al-Azhar institute since the beginning of the crisis in August, the statement added.
More than 630,000 Rohingya have fled to neighbouring Bangladesh since Myanmar s military launched a crackdown on the minority group in August.
Egypt has expressed solidarity with Rohingya Muslims and supports the Bangladeshi government s efforts in addressing the fallout from the crisis.
