New Minister of Culture Enas Abdel Dayem released her first statement in which she said that she is proud of her achievements at the Opera. She also added that she is honored to be the first female Minister of Culture.
Abdel Dayem said her first priority is the upcoming international book fair, adding the Ministry will launch the make-ready process once head of General Authority for Books,Haitham el-Hag, returns from a short visit to Kuwait.
She also said that she is keen to continue the efforts made by former Minister of Culture Helmy El-Namnam s, promising to present culturally diverse activities.
Furthermore, she declared that the next Head of the Opera will one of the cultural establishment staff.

It is also known that Abdel Dayem has held several official positions such as head of the National Cultural Center of Cairo Opera House and the Head of the Cairo Opera House. She has also been the President of the Arab Academy of Music since December 2017.
