As the presidential race has started in Egypt, it became clear that President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi will win another round in the presidency of Egypt. This raises questions about challenges he will face in the second round.
The list is too long, but the economic situation and financial difficulties comes above all right next to fighting terrorism and security situation. Many projects have been carried out in Egypt, but the citizens are suffering under high inflation rates and increasing prices.
The crisis of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam comes on the critical list of Egyptian national security. Egypt fears a temporary reduction of water availability due to the filling of the dam and a permanent reduction because of evaporation from the reservoir. Less water means life threat to the Egyptians. It is as simple as that!
As I said, the to do list of President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi during his second term is too long and the challenges are too much, but I believe that his biggest challenge is to prepare the second line of politicians in order to have other people who are able and willing to run for presidency after 4 years from now.
