The United States on Monday announced a lifting of the ban on the entry of refugees from 11 countries, most of them Muslim countries, but made it clear that those who want to enter the United States will be subjected to tighter security measures than they had in the past.
The countries are namely: Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Mali, Somalia, South Sudan and North Korea.
"It s critically important that we know who is entering the United States," said Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen.
