6 new priests were ordained today for the ministry in Hlawan and Maasara diocese. The ordination was completed by Abba Pesenty, Bishop of Hlawan, Abba Daniel, Bishop of Maadi, Abba Raphael, general secretary of the Holy Synod, and Abba Samuel, Bishop of Tamwa.
The new priests are Fathers Makarous Fayez, Issac Paula, Beshara Abdu, Tomas Nabil, Girgis Isaac, and Antonius Farris.
After the ordination, they moved to the monastery of St. Bishoy in Wadil Natroun to spend 40 days of spiritual retreat according to the Coptic ritual.
