Dr. Abba Shouman, deputy of Al-Azhar, said that Al-Azhar institution supports a modern civil and democratic state in Egypt.
He added that Copts should be able to enter the civil faculties of Al-Azhar in case they fulfill its requirements including the memorizing of the Holy Koran.
