CAIRO - The ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces has decided to impound the sites of the formery ruling National Democratic Party and freeze its assets nationwide, official TV reported Saturday.
It added that the decision had been taken pending a court ruling disbanding the party. The military council Saturday blamed Ibrahim Kamel, a business tycoon and a senior official in the party, of involvement in acts of violence earlier in the day, which left one civilian dead. The military council ordered the arrest of Kamel and three of his aides.
