Pope Twadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, washed the feet of the congregation at St. Mina monastery as part of the rituals of Maundy Thursday.
The ritual imitates what was carried out by Jesus Christ when he washed the feet of his disciples and ordered them to do the same.
