The resurrection of Jesus Christ was the greatest event, which shook the Jews, thus they tried to resist it by all means. They described it as the last misguidance which was stronger than the initial misguidance, which is Christ s preaching. The resurrection of Jesus from the dead was unique and never heard of before.
Throughout his life Jesus preached resurrection when he said to them, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.” (Luke 9:22). He came out of the Virgin Mary and her virginity was sealed, and he came out of the tomb while it was closed. Moreover, he met the disciples when the doors were shut when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
Jesus rose by his own power, not like the son of the widow of Sidon whom Elijah the prophet raised him (1 Samuel 17:22). The same happened to the son of the Shunammite woman who was raised by Elisha the prophet (2 Kings 36: 36). Moreover, Jesus raised the daughter of Jairus, the son of the widow of Nain, and Lazarus. Despite all the strict guardianship, the tomb, the guards, the seals and the great stone at the door of the tomb, Christ rose from the dead.
Jesus appeared to his disciples to make sure they believe in the resurrection Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have. (Luke 24: 39) since the resurrection is the source of our belief, we do believe Jesus is the source of life “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. Many Happy Returns and Ekhristos Anisti … Christ is risen.
