Mufti: Egyptian unity strong, stable

CAIRO – Egypt's Mufti Ali Gomaa asserted on Wednesday that Egyptian unity can't be destabilised because Egyptian ties are strong enough to overcome any difficulties, the official Middle East News Agency reported.

"To set up the concept of confidence and understanding between Muslims and other religions, it requires dialogue between both sides," Gomaa said during his meeting with Konstantin Shuvalov in Cairo on Wednesday, the official of United Russia's ties with the Islamic World.
The Mufti called United Russia for supporting Egypt in its new experiment of democracy.
"Islamic Institution in Egypt seeks to bridge gaps among different civilisations, aiming at clarifying the right concepts of Islam," Gomaa added.
Shuvalov, meanwhile, says that Egypt is a key country in the region and Russia will do its best to support Egyptians after the January 25 revolution.
