God is light and He is the creator of light. Those who love God may live in this light away from darkness of sin. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men . (John 1:4)
Bishop Takla of Dishna, talked in his article The Resurrection... The feast of lights about how man should walk in light away from darkness of sin.
He listed several means to attain such light: First: the love of brotherhood Whoever said that he is light and hates his brother, he is now in darkness . Second: The Words of God leads man in his way. Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. (Psalms 119). Third: Fasting that gives many blessings for man. Fourthly: The eye, if simple, sees all that glorifies God. Fifth: Pray deeply to God and stand before Him with reverence and repentance. Six: Life of holiness. By virtue and good works and by abstaining from sin. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (John 3:19). Seventh: Seeking eternality as the believer is always striving for eternity in which Man enjoys being with the light of God.
Thus, the sons of God must follow the true light, unlike the wicked people who have separated their souls from the light because of their sins. From those who leave the paths of uprightness
To walk in the ways of darkness (proverbs 2: 13)
May God grants us to walk in the light, love and follow his commandments seeking eternal to enjoy.
