Our beloved Egyptian Team has lost once again, this time against Uruguay, quite similar to the same situation as 1992. With all my respect to the Egyptian team and Coaches, in my opinion, a game of defence will not win any matches.
This will result in Egypt not moving past qualification and will end the Egyptian dream to go to the next stage. Russia and Uruguay will become number 1 in the group, and its nearly impossible for Egypt to beat Russia.
Furthermore, if we beat Russia by some miracle, it would have to be by at least 5, which is impossible.
Unfortunately, the World Cup for us has ended from the very first match, and the performances to come dont matter. Yes, they played well and strong, but the game is recognized by results, not effort.
Egypt had a dream to do something different this time and to maybe begin to impress the world which was watching, but alas they lost everything in basically the last minute of the match.
In conclusion, I want to emphasize that the Egyptian players need to have a different mentality to be able to compete in such a great championship. Without a different way of thinking, there will never be different results.
