There is no doubt that watching the World Cup Matches in Russia 2018 gives great impression and fun as always with FIFA World Cup tournaments. Such pleasure can be found everywhere through cheering and playing. Everyone has a favorite team to support.
Football fans start to guess who will win the Cup. The answers may come: Germany, Brazil, Mexico, France, Belgium, Croatia, or Uruguay. Some people may go far and name Iceland. I wonder why are them belong to Western countries. How about Asian and African countries? How about Arab countries?
Egypt is home to 100 million people, while Iceland has only 340,000 inhabitants. It is equal to one of the smallest neighborhoods in Cairo. The same applies to Uruguay and Croatia, where only a few million people lives there. However, the answer is hundreds of football clubs against very little number of clubs in the Middle East.
I may understand the superiority of the European countries in football game, but I don’t understand it in Brazil who won the World Cup five times and is seeking the sixth. We can also find Argentina with two world cup winnings and one for Uruguay. All of them are poor countries, which are full of violence and drug dealers.
I hope to see an Asian or African team winning the World Cup, but I don’t think it will be this year. It is not enough to participate in the World Cup as we have much bigger dream now.
