CAIRO-The military rulers Tuesday denied media reports that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are putting pressure on Egypt to drop plans on former president Hosni Mubarak's prosecution.
"Relations with these two countries are time-honoured," the ruling Supreme Council for the Armed Forces said on its page on Facebook. Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf Monday visited Saudi Arabia and denied tensions with the UAE. Both countries were key regional allies of Mubarak.
