American Embassy offered its sincere condolences in the murder of Bishop Epiphanius, head of St. Makar monastery.
It said in a statement Our hearts go out to the Coptic Orthodox Church and to all Egyptians on the tragic death of His Grace Bishop Epiphanius. The Bishop was well known to us as a learned and pious person. We wish him peace and rest .
