Egypt has condemned two terrorist attacks that killed over two dozen people in Afghanistan on Tuesday.
Fifteen people were killed in Afghanistan s eastern city of Jalalabad when gunmen stormed a government building after a suicide bomber blew himself up at the entrance gate. Eleven more were killed in the western province of Farah when their bus was hit by a roadside bomb.
Egypt s foreign ministry stressed that Cairo "is standing by Afghanistan s government and people in the face of such bloody terrorist attacks."
The ministry reiterated Cairo s call for serious steps by the international community to dry up terrorist groups sources of funding and deprive them of training and safe havens.
