She is a mother of two children, a boy and a girl, but her husband was unable to work and had to stay home for the rest of his life. Om Aya decided she has to work, but had no education or experience, and therefore, she had to work as a cleaner in a school.
However, the colleagues of her daughter decided to bully her and mock her mother for being an illiterate cleaner. Her daughter couldn t study and failed this year at school. The mother decided to put an end to such miserable situation and when to a school to learn how to read and write and then continued her education till she applied to nursery academy.
The mother worked at a hospital in Damietta and after couple of years Om Aya was celebrating the wedding of her daughter.
I salute Om Aya and all those who fight to change their bad circumstances and use education as weapon to fight poverty in their lives.
