The spokesman of the Coptic Orthodox Church published a statement about the visit of Pope Tawadros II to America.
Statement revealed that during this visit Pope has inaugurated 14 churches and celebrated 18 holy masses and delivered 41 sermons and lectures. Pope has also laid the foundation stone of 4 service buildings and promoted 11 priests to the rank of Heugmin and ordained 2 priests and one archdeacon.
Pope has also baptized 36 children and held 14 meetings and attended the graduation ceremony of theological school. Moreover, he delivered a sermon at the University of Rutgers in the presence of 8000 people and participated in the conference of the Copts of the Diaspora with 16 Coptic bishops.
The statement pointed out that the total number of people met with the Pope during the visit is about 50 thousand people and traveled about 7450 miles.
