Renewal of Christian discourse
"Our Lord loves beauty including Peace and  goodness. In our country we offer beauty and goodness before the whole world” This was part of the speech given by President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi during his visit to the Great Cathedral of St. Mark to congratulate Copts on Christmas.

The Coptic church has been trying to motivate its congregation to develop an active participation in all social, political and human activities. For instance, Bishop Moussa of Youth Bishopric gave examples to such active participation like voting in the elections, participating in the political parties, student unions and public syndicates, in addition to civil society associations.

The church in general calls on its members to be good citizens showing patriotism and belonging to the homeland and seeking equal citizenship. New technology can be used for the benefit of this call and to unite the people to do a good job.

President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi has been calling to renew religious, culture and media discourse. He also called the officials to lead a revolution in these fields. Jesus Christ led a similar revolution at his time since he tried to change the thinking of his people.

In this regard, we recall the words of His Holiness Pope Shenouda III in one of his sermons that Jesus was meek, and he was also courageous. No one shall hear his voice in the streets (Matthew 12: 20,19) But he was bold in truth, and purified the temple with all firmness, and took out all those who were selling it and buying it. (Matthew 21: 13,12). Thus, Bishop Moussa called for comprehensive change for all aspects of life including though and spirit. The question remains: When will citizens and decision-makers have the will to change ?
