Minnat Allah Alsirifi

One of the researchers specializing in genetics at the Center for Genomics in Zewail University won the L Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award and received it at the closing ceremony in Paris.

Minnat Allah Alsirifi is known for being a promising researcher. This year, her research presented new functions of proteins in the treatment of DNA damage, which is a cause of many diseases of the immune, neurological and cancer.

The L Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science initiative began 20 years ago. Since that inaugural year, the L Oréal Foundation and UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) have strived to support and recognize accomplished women researchers, to encourage more young women to enter the profession and to assist them once their careers are in progress.

The program has supported more than 3,000 promising researchers. It is presented to 15 of the 275 regional grantees from around the world. Greetings to the promising researcher and to every Egyptian outstanding woman.
