A senior church source said in a special statement to Copts United that the personal status law was not included in the sessions of the Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
Sources said that the draft was discussed in previous sessions and there are some points that needs further agreement among the churches before they are sent to the government for official approval.
