Coptic Orthodox Church is going to start the fasting of the Virgin Mary next Wednesday for two weeks. Many churches and monasteries hold spiritual renaissance meetings lie St. Mary monastery in Assiut that receives roughly two million visitors.
The fasting will end on August 22 on the day of ascension of her body to heaven.
