Under the patronage of HG Bishop Makarios of Minya and Abu Qurqas, the church of S.t Mary in Assem Village held a carnival of the Virgin for children.
The Carnival entitled Theotocos was held on the occasion of fasting of the Virgin and was attended by 425 children
