President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has ordered continued efforts to achieve a comprehensive development in Sinai through carrying out agricultural projects.
The president made the remarks Sunday during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and a host of ministers.
Sisi instructed the bodies concerned to continue development efforts in Sinai to improve services offered to residents and provide more job opportunities, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.
The meeting tackled the implementation of a project to cultivate an area of 400,000 feddans, east of Suez Canal, the spokesman said.
The meeting focused on two important axes with regard to Sinai development, namely water resources and infrastructure.
