After this pandemic hit Egypt, the main concern now is the irregular workers who don t have any back up plan to feed their families.
Unfortunately, Egypt doesn t have any plan for such people and they will suffer either from hunger because they don t have any other source of income or they will suffer from threats of being sick because they have to leave their homes and work to feed their families.
The civil society here has to play an important role to help such people in this difficult time, and when I say civil society I mean Non-profit organization, churches and mosques.
Without this help from the civil society poor people in Egypt will be hit hard and there will be a lot of consequences if we have neglected them.
In conclusion, I want to emphasize that the government should learn from this pandemic and be ready for such a situation with good solutions especially for the irregular workers in Egypt.
