His Majesty Willem Alexander the King of the Netherlands granted His Eminence Bishop Arsani of teh Netherladns the medal of the leader.
This came during the celebration of the thirty-fifth anniversary of the start of the Coptic Church service in the Netherlands and the seventh anniversary of the establishment of the diocese of the Netherlands, which was held at the headquarters of the Archdiocese in Amsterdam, amid precautionary measures due to the spread of the new Corona virus.
During the celebration, the Deputy Mayor of Amsterdam read the decision of King Willem Alexander of the Netherlands, regarding the awarding of His Eminence Bishop Arsany the Royal Medal.
The ceremony was attended by Bishop Polycarp Eugene Eden, President of the Dutch Syriac Orthodox Diocese, Bishop Jan Hendricks, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Church in Haarlem - Amsterdam, Father Gerard Matisen, Head of the Benedict Monastery in Akhmoud, and the Egyptian Ambassador to the Netherlands Hatem Abdelkader.
