The Chairman of Sudan s Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan arrived in Cairo on Tuesday for a one-day visit to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, an official statement by the council read.
Al-Burhan is accompanied by Sudanese foreign minister Omar Gamaleldin and head of the Sudanese general intelligence Jamal Abdul-Hamid.
The visit comes days after Israel and Sudan agreed on Friday to normalize relations in a deal brokered with the help of the United States, making Sudan the third Arab country to set aside hostilities with Israel in the past two months.
