Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Mohamed Farid inspected on Monday a camp to prepare and train combatants of the Egyptian Second Field Army in North Sinai.
Farid conveyed the greetings of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and Minister of Defence Mohamed Zaki to the armed forces’ personnel, Army spokesman Tamer El-Refae said.
He hailed the combatants efforts to preserve the utmost level of combat readiness to execute the missions they are assigned under any circumstances.
Farid also praised the success of the forces in eradicating terrorist hotbeds and helping restore normal and safe life to North Sinai.
He called on the forces to observe coronavirus preventive measures during their missions.
Farid was accompanied during the inspection by top ranking army officers.
