Dozens of Shubra Badeen Village residents in Dakahliya Governorate demanded that a shut-down primary school be converted to a middle school, especially since the village has no middle school. “Our daughters are being subjected to harassment at the middle school located several kilometers from the village,” the residents complained. “The school located in the village has been shut-down for years, and if it they decide to convert it into a middle school, the troubles of hundreds of female students will end.”
