Rami Kamel, human rights activist told Copts United that two Christians were wounded by gunshots, one in his face. In addition to a number of Muslims who were also wounded during the fight which started as clashes among Christian drivers in Warraq, Giza. Then, transmitted to a fight between Christians and Muslims when some Muslims tried to intervene to break up clashes between the drivers.

Kamel said that clashes developed into using firearms. A number of Salafis tried to provoke Muslims against Christians, but some Muslim wise men intervened to stop them.
Kamel said that security men were too few near the incident, expressing his fears that violence actions targeting Christians may outbreak because a number of Muslim people were injured.
