Back to school after Eid break
Anti-swine flu measures: A health worker spraying the tub of a Cairo school's courtyard with disinfectant before receiving the pupils today after the ten-day Eid el-Adha vacation ended on Thursday.
MILLIONS of Egyptian students will swarm into their schools with their oversized backpacks early today after the offi- cial ten-day Eid el-Adha (the Muslim Feast of Sacrifice) break came to an end on Thursday .

The classrooms and courtyards of all schools were cleaned to receive the stu- dents, whose parents still bear the unseen fears of swine flu. The parents said that they preferred to keep their children at home during December and the first half of January, when the A/H1N1 virus can easily spread among people of all ages, particularly the chil- dren. However, all the pupils and students still remember happiness of the Eid holidays during which they had a good share of going out with their parents and friends and enjoyed lots of TV viewing at home, or going to the movies and public gardens. The first day will be given over to refreshing, with teachers trying to help the children remember what they have learnt during the past two months as well as the measures that the Ministries of Education and Health have adopted to contain swine flu in schools and universities.
