Edwar Ghalib, member of the committee supervising the papal elections, said that Abba Moussa, bishop of Youth, has not withdraw from the papal elections, and his name is included in the initial list of candidates.
Ghalib told Copts United that the committee will hold a meeting on Thursday with Abba Pachomius, acting Patriarch, to discuss the criteria of filtering the candidates.
In a related context, Mansy Thabet, member of voters registering committee said the committee registers the voters upon receiving the lists of the dioceses or by registering the voters of journalists, ministers and MPs.
Thabet added that only two MPs have registered: MP Amin Eskandar, and MP Margaret Azer.
