Both Grand Imam of al-Azhar Ahmed al-Tayeb and the acting Patriarch of Egypt's Coptic Orthodox Church Bishop Pachomius called on the Egyptian people to maintain solidarity and learn lessons from the events of sacrifice in Eidul-Adha "to take our beloved Egypt to safety".
This call was made by the top religious figures at a meeting held by the Grand Imam with both Bishop Pachomius and the delegation accompanying him, as well as the president of the Coptic Evangelical community Safwat al-Bayadi, who came to greet the Grand Imam on the occasion of Eidul-Adha.
