Union of Coptic organizations in Europe has condemned the current escalating violence against the Egyptian journalists, and called the interior ministry to investigate a threat to kill Said Shoaib, an Egyptian journalist, and his wife the journalist Islam Azzam after they have received several letters that carry threats to be killed unless they stop their anti-Islamists writings.
They received two letters from the so called “group of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice”, which advised the husband to repent and support the Islamists and wavier the case against the General Guide of Muslim Brotherhood.
Letters have also advised the wife to stop working, wear only modest clothes, and stop smoking and drinking as well. It added that if they don’t obey the letters, they are going to suffer a lot.
