President Mohamed Morsi is expected to attend a summit of the Developing Eight (D-8) countries in Islamabad on 21-22 November.
The Developing Eight is a group of eight emerging economies from the Islamic world.
The summit will include Egypt, Pakistan, Turkey, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Iran and Nigeria, and will deal with possible economic and technological cooperation between the eight countries.
Morsi is also expected to visit Washington soon, according to the Egyptian ambassador to the US.
Since his inauguration, Morsi has given foreign relations considerable attention, making official visits to Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Qatar, China, Iran, America, Turkey, Italy and Belgium. He has also attended the UN General Assembly in New York and the Non-Alignment Movement (NAM) Summit in Tehran.
