Muslim Brotherhood students protest in solidarity with Gaza
Muslim Brotherhood students staged protests on Tuesday at seven universities across the country condemning the Israeli attacks on Gaza.

Protesters at the universities of Cairo, Ain Shams, Helwan, Al-Azhar, Minya, Beni Suef and Fayoum shouted anti-Israeli slogans and raised the Palestinian flag.

In Cairo University, the Brotherhood students held prayers for souls of the martyrs whose lives were claimed during the attacks on Gaza, as well as those killed in the Assiut train crash on Saturday. They marched through the campus, stopping before the Faculty of Commerce where they burnt the Israeli flag.

Student protesters then marched to the Arab League.

Some students formed a committee to collect donations from other universities to provide Gaza with aid.

The student union of the American University in Cairo announced that they would be sending an aid convoy to Gaza on Thursday. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the union said that Gaza is Egypt's first line of defense and national security and that the former regime habitually smeared the image of Palestinians to boost Egyptian-Israeli relations.

On Monday, a convoy of over 300 activists entered Gaza from Egypt.
