Egypt’s government will form a supreme commission to combat corruption, announced Egyptian Premier Hisham Kandil Thursday.
Speaking at the press conference related to the recently launched governmental initiative to "kick off the economy," Kandil explained that the new commission would institutionalise efforts to fight corruption.
The new monitoring body will target retrieving illicit gains taken out of country and will coordinate with other Egyptian watchdog agencies.
The government's economic initiative is aimed at tackling Egypt's key economic challenges and promoting dialogue between societal factions and political forces.
