I've been always dreaming of applying democracy in Egypt, as I was never satisfied with the amount of democracy achieved after the revolution of 1952, and I believed that political parties could do something to develop the political scene against the ridiculous Nazi ideas of that time.
Sadat has overturned against the Nasserist state using hostile platforms of his supporters who were acting in what we may call a political farce, which led me then to stop supporting any political party.
Founding the Egyptian parties by Sadat at this stage has encountered many difficulties, as he decided to keep the opposing political parties so weak to have almost a single-party state, which is accepted by the American Administration.
Democratic National Party under Mubarak's regime was used by many businessmen to rob and loot Egypt as well as its capabilities. Finally, its headquarters were burned and its leaders were imprisoned.
This single-party offered its membership to scum who use violence and forgery to get the majority of seats in the Parliament no matter what happens to Egypt.
When the Egyptians demonstrated against its oppressors, constitution and parliament, they were demanding change; the military council has tried to produce another copy of Sadat regime with forged ballot boxes and worse parliament and constitution.
This democracy of foodstuffs like sugar, rice and oil is so simple and profitable game or let's call it “investment”. In this game: one pays for the electoral bribes as well as the thugs in order to get power and authority that enables him to restore his money multiplied.
This game was played for the past few months by two big players: Oil Sheiks who supported the Islamists in the elections and America who paid a lot to ensure the submission of the Muslim Brotherhood, the new leaders of Egypt.
This was similar to a voting market, in which many brokers and thugs found profitable jobs, which is to sell votes to the highest bidder, and terrorize those who are not willing to sell their votes like women and Copts. Furthermore, the Muslim Brotherhood forged the ballot sheets to vote for them! Now, we can see no change, but much evil and beneficiaries than we faced with the former regime.
Some people think that such shameful performance of the Islamists during the past two years will make them lose in the upcoming elections. This is not true as they still can trade on religion, pay electoral bribes and fool as many people as they can. They're still able to pay billions of dollars to achieve their goals in a new kind of democracy that we may call “Democracy of foodstuffs”!
