Abba Markos, Bishop of Shubra Al Khaimah, told Copts United that a group of Salafis have gathered in front of St. Makary Church to check the license of the building.
He added that the church had the due license, but had to ask the young Christian people leave the church in order to prevent any clashes between Muslims and Christians.
Abba Markos wondered: “Who is governing Egypt now? Do we have a state or just a group of people who govern?”
