St. George Church in Kom Empo, Aswan, was attacked with stones and Molotov cocktails after a rumor that a Muslim woman was kidnapped by the church.
Father Arsanious Kyrolous, deputy of the diocese, said that the Church had to stop all spiritual meetings to avoid clashes with the attackers, and to protect its congregation.
He added that they can hardly celebrate the mass in the Church.
